Rules & Safety
What PitchIt is
PitchIt lets businesses create marketing Pitches and lets people respond with short videos of up to 30 seconds. Videos can be approved by the business and appear in the public Highlight Reel.
Business rules
Businesses may not create Pitches encouraging:
- dangerous or life-threatening activities
- choking or dangerous eating behavior
- excessive alcohol or drug consumption
- illegal activity
- weapons or dangerous acts
- self-harm
- sexual activity or nudity
- harassment or hate
- activities intended to cause injury
Ordinary creative and competitive challenges — “make a 30-second commercial for our pizza”, “tell us why people should visit our restaurant” — are welcome.
User content rules
Users may not upload:
- pornography
- nudity or sexual content
- graphic violence or gore
- self-harm content
- illegal activity
- hate or harassment
- dangerous activity
- content involving exploitation
Moderation
PitchIt uses automated systems and, when necessary, human review to identify content that violates these rules. Pitches are checked before they can be published, and videos are checked before they can be graded or shown publicly.
Content may be blocked, removed, or held for review. Automated systems are not perfect, so some decisions may be revisited by a person.
Reporting
If you believe a video breaks these rules, use the Report option on the video in the Highlight Reel. Reported videos are hidden from public view while they are reviewed.
